News: Does Eating Fish Lower Your Risk for Depression?

Chinese researchers have found a remarkable correlation between diet and depression, concluding in a recent analysis of 26 studies that people who eat diets high in fish are 17 percent less likely to suffer from depression.

The researchers noted this could be due to the omega-3 fatty acids in fish, which may change the structure of brain membranes, help the brain to communicate information from cell to cell, and regulate "happiness hormones" like dopamine and serotonin.
