From Kristin Kane, your About Health Editor
Yes, I did it. I took a shot at the most prized bird of the dinner table. But that's only because no other foul seems to have such power over me. One sniff of a Thanksgiving dinner, and the next thing you know I'm rubbing my too-full belly while curled up in front of Aunt Barbara and Uncle Tom's fireplace.

5-Star Turkey Rub
This year, though, I'll be helping with Thanksgiving back at home. I'm going to suggest that we season the bird with this mix instead of opting for the traditional butter slathering to make the allure of seconds one that I don't have to worry as much about fighting off.

In the Kitchen:

Triumph Over Turkey Day
Making healthy Thanksgiving meal changes is a plus, of course -- but that doesn't mean that there won't be a few among us who still overdo it. Use these tips so you won't be one of them.

Why the Pilgrims Wished They Had Sneakers
After the last bite inevitably come two questions: Where are my elastic-banded comfy pants, and how am I going to burn this all off? If the latter is a concern for you, use this calculator to figure out just how far you'll need to walk to remove that green bean casserole from your hips.

Benefit from Showing Gratitude
How appreciative we should be for a day on which eating a slice of pie is a sign of showing thanks. Here, though, is a calorie-free way to channel that energy every day throughout the year -- it may even help you become better at adapting to life's stressors, big and small.
